We will meet October 10th at 5:30PM at Harper’s Garden to discuss our next book – City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert.

There Vivian is introduced to an entire cosmos of unconventional and charismatic characters, from the fun-chasing showgirls to a sexy male actor, a grand-dame actress, a lady-killer writer, and no-nonsense stage manager. But when Vivian makes a personal mistake that results in professional scandal, it turns her new world upside down in ways that it will take her years to fully understand.
Now ninety-five years old and telling her story at last, Vivian recalls how the events of those years altered the course of her life.

CONSTRUCTION TOUR AT AMY GUTMANN HALL, UPenn – JULY 2023
WiSE enjoyed an informative construction tour of Amy Gutmann Hall at the University of Pennsylvania. Gilbane Building Company is constructing Philadelphia’s first mass timber building and has invited our group to a private tour. At six stories tall, this building will be one of the tallest mass timber buildings in the region with anticipated completion Summer 2024.
END OF YEAR CELEBRATION AT KICK AXE PHILLY – JUNE 2023
We had a kick axe time together for our end of year event at Kick Axe Philly! Thanks to everyone who was able to join us for the fun event!
CONSTRUCTION TOUR AT EASTERN STATE PENITENTIARY – JUNE 2023
WiSE Philadelphia and APT/DVC hosted a behind-the-scenes tour of Eastern State Penitentiary reviewing a recently completed roof restoration projects on both buildings, finally protecting the structures for years to come. Thanks to all who joined us!
